While Cristiano Ronaldo kept moving up Europe's all-time scorers list on Saturday, a demoralizing loss to Bulgaria endangered the Netherlands' World Cup qualification. With two goals in Portugal's 3-0 win over Hungary, Ronaldo moved into fourth place on the all-time scorers list for European nations.

Agudelo scores 2 goals, Revolution tops Minnesota United 5-2 (The Associated Press)

Juan Agudelo scored twice, Lee Nguyen and Chris Tierney each had a goal and an assist and the New England Revolution beat Minnesota United 5-2 on Saturday. Agudelo, just inside the 6-yard box, headed home a perfect cross by Tierney in the fourth minute and, after Collen Warner tied it from well outside the area about 10 minutes later, Kei Kamara gave New England (1-2-0) the lead for good in the 21st. Diego Fagundez, from near midfield, threaded a pass to Nguyen at the left corner of the box, who beat a defended at the 6-yard box and centered to Kamara for the tap-in.

One year after his death, Barcelona says it will name the future stadium at its training center after Dutch great Johan Cruyff. The new stadium at Barcelona's training center just outside the Catalan city will be called ''Johan Cruyff Stadium'' in honor of the club's former player and coach. Barcelona also says it will commission a ''commemorative sculpture'' of Cruyff, who died of lung cancer on March 24 last year at age 68.

(Reuters) - Clint Dempsey scored a hat-trick as the United States hammered Honduras 6-0 in California on Friday to get their 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign back on track. The United States, who replaced coach Juergen Klinsmann with Bruce Arena in November after losing their last two qualifiers, opened the scoring through Sebastian Lletget after five minutes when he was on hand to tap home after Christian Pulisic's shot squirmed past the goalkeeper. Honduras came back into the game but the home side doubled their lead after 27 minutes when U.S. captain Michael Bradley was afforded time and space to fire home a low drive from 25 yards out.

Sebastian Lletget nearly stumbled after scoring the biggest goal of his life, then went sliding on his knees in celebration across a rain-soaked field as his teammates mobbed him near the corner flag. What a night for the hometown kid from San Francisco to notch his first U.S. goal. People asked me in January camp who was I impressed with and he was the one that stuck out to me the most,'' Bedoya said.

Dempsey hat trick lifts US over Honduras 6-0 to rebound (The Associated Press)

Just before they walked onto the field for a critical World Cup qualifier, American players received a message from Bruce Arena. Clint Dempsey came back from an irregular heartbeat at age 34 to score his second international hat trick, 18-year-old phenom Christian Pulisic had one goal and set up three others, and the U.S. routed Honduras 6-0 Friday night to get back in contention for an eighth straight World Cup berth. ''Three massive points,'' captain Michael Bradley said.

Bruce Arena made key changes in his first starting lineup since replacing Jurgen Klinsmann as U.S. national team coach, starting goalkeeper Tim Howard, defenders Geoff Cameron and Jorge Villafana and midfielder Clint Dempsey in Friday night's critical World Cup qualifier against Honduras. With the U.S. desperate for a win following an 0-2 start in the final round of the North and Central American and Caribbean region, Cameron and the 38-year-old Howard returned from injuries and the 34-year-old Dempsey from an irregular heartbeat.
